Summer Math Club
a weekly meet-up for kids to review and practice math! 

Join Potomac River Teaching for Summer Math Club, a six-week small group course in which we will review foundational math skills necessary for success in 6th-grade math.

This Math Club was designed for children who will be in 6th grade for the 2024-2025 school year and who typically struggle to retain information over summer break.

We will review and practice single and multi-digit multiplication and division, place value, fractions, word problems, solving expressions, and more! 

​

This will be a small group course limited to 4-6 students. Each session will include number sense routines, a review of previously taught information, and engaging and fun activities to practice.

Your instructor, Shannon Leavitt, is a dedicated special education teacher with experience teaching 6th-grade math in LCPS. Her mission is to instill confidence and proficiency in mathematics among her students.
